1 Dead in San Jose Bicycle Accident on Highway 101 and First Street
SAN JOSE, CA (March 7, 2023) – Saturday night, a man died in a bicycle crash on Highway 101 and First Street.
The incident occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Highway 101, just north of First Street.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol revealed that the man rode his bicycle in the left lane of northbound Highway 101. Then, a Mazda hit him and the impact threw the rider into the center median.
When responders arrived, they declared the man dead at the scene. Moreover, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to the pending family notification.
Also, the driver of the Mazda stayed on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
At this time, the authorities haven’t clarified whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
