SUNNYVALE, CA (May 6, 2021) – Wednesday morning, a man died in a pedestrian crash on Maude Avenue and Borregas Avenue.
 
The Sunnyvale police officers responded to the scene at about 5:10 a.m. The crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian happened on West Maude Avenue and Borregas Avenue.
 
Capt. Hank Syu said that the pedestrian suffered major injuries. Thus, first responders initiated medical aid. However, despite life-saving efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
 
At this time, the authorities withhold the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
 
On the other hand, the vehicle driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative. Also, the authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol didn’t play a role in the crash.
