1 Dead in San Jose Scooter Accident on Lucretia Avenue and Taji Drive

 
SAN JOSE, CA (March 27, 2022) – Early Saturday, a man died in a hit-and-run crash on Lucretia Avenue and Taji Drive.
 
The incident happened at about 1:53 a.m. on Lucretia Avenue and Taji Drive.
 
According to reports, a gray 2017 Honda sedan headed north on Lucretia Avenue in the far left lane. Then, the sedan crashed with a motorized scooter traveling in the same direction in the same lane.
 
After the crash, the Honda fled the crash scene. Then, a mid-size white sports utility vehicle struck the scooter rider and also escaped the crash.
 
Then, responders took the scooter rider to the hospital and declared him dead upon arrival.
 
Police confirmed that the incident is the 23rd fatal collision and the 24th victim of 2022.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
