OAKLAND, CA (August 4, 2022) – Tuesday night, a man died in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 880 and Hegenberger Road.
 
The incident occurred at around 11:12 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 880, south of Hegenberger Road.
 
According to reports, a vehicle struck a man walking on the freeway. Then, officers declared him dead at the scene.
 
At this time, they haven’t reported why they suspect that the man was on the freeway.
 
Meanwhile, the vehicle driver sustained minor injuries
 
Moreover, officers confirmed that the driver has been cooperative with investigators. Also, they confirmed that they found no indication of intoxication in the driver.
