DIXON, CA (May 11, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a 42-year-old man died in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 near Pedrick Road.
 
The incident happened at about 6:50 a.m. on Interstate 80 near Pedrick Road.
 
According to reports, a Ford F-650 truck headed west on Interstate 80 near Pedrick Road. Then, it crashed into the rear of a Ford F-450 pickup truck.
 
Then, the F-650 went west and sideswiped a tractor-trailer. Meanwhile, the F-450 hit the metal guardrail on the center median.
 
As a result, the F-650 driver, a 42-year-old Sacramento man, died at the scene. Meanwhile, a 28-year-old Sacramento man in the F-650 required hospitalization due to major injuries.
 
Also, four F-450 pickup occupants sustained minor injuries that didn’t require hospitalization. Moreover, the tractor-trailer driver suffered no injuries in the crash.
 
At this time, the authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Also, they haven’t disclosed whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Furthermore, they haven’t released the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
