1 Dead in Spokane Auto Accident near Government Way and Greenwood Road
SPOKANE, WA (November 23, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a man died in a rollover crash near Government Way and Greenwood Road.
The incident happened at around 7:15 a.m. near Government Way and Greenwood Road.
According to reports, a driver of a Ford Pickup traveled recklessly.
Then, officers confirmed that the man who failed to wear a seat belt died at the scene. Meanwhile, another man who was a passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.
Moreover, authorities said that the truck traveled at a high rate of speed north on Government Way. Then, the driver lost control just north of Greenwood Road, crossed over the centerline, rolled, and struck a tree.
Also, the driver was ejected from the vehicle and became pinned underneath it. Also, authorities confirmed that impairment was a possible factor.
Spokane police and county sheriff’s deputies shut down Government Way to assess the scene.
