LONG BEACH, CA (May 10, 2022) – Sunday night, a 36-year-old man died in a pedestrian crash on Atlantic Avenue near 19th Street.
 
The incident happened at around 9:15 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue, north of 19th Street. At this time, the identity of the Long Beach pedestrian remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
“A 2014 Honda, driven by a female resident of Long Beach, was traveling northbound on Atlantic Avenue north of 19th Street as the pedestrian was crossing westbound in lanes of traffic outside of a crosswalk …,” police revealed. “The driver was unable to stop or avoid striking the pedestrian.”
 
Meanwhile, the motorist stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the police.
