Man Killed in Car Accident on Di Giorgio Road and Myrtle Avenue [Bakersfield, CA]

1 Dead in Bakersfield Crash on Di Giorgio Road

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 14, 2020) – Early Monday morning, a car accident on Di Giorgio Road led to one fatality.
 
According to reports, at about 6:15 a.m., a Chevy Malibu heading east on Di Giorgio Road was about to turn left onto Myrtle Avenue. At the same time, a westbound GMC approached the Chevy’s location.
 
As the Chevy made a turn in front of the GMC, it was broadsided on the passenger side. Furthermore, the crash pushed the Chevy into a Freightliner flatbed truck that had stopped on southbound Myrtle Avenue.
 
The collision left the Chevy driver with major injuries. Responders took the driver to Kern Medical. Unfortunately, the male driver later died at the hospital.
