1 Dead and 2 Hurt in Sacramento Car Accident on Capital City Freeway
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 18, 2019) – A man died while two others sustained injuries in a car accident on Capital City Freeway on June 17.
The northbound Honda Accord driver crashed in the fast lane of the freeway and center wall.
Meanwhile, another man stopped to the right-hand shoulder, just north of E Street, and went to help the driver. However, a third car came into the area and struck both men, who were standing near the crashed car.
The wrecked car’s driver died while the other suffered injuries in the crash.
The third driver also sustained injuries. However, it is unclear what injuries the driver sustained.
Furthermore, another SUV crashed with a U.S. Postal Service truck minutes after the first collision.
According to police, no other information was given at this time. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It’s still unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
