PLEASANT HILL, CA (September 30, 2019) – A 38-year-old man died in a car accident on southbound 680 Freeway on September 27.
 
The incident occurred at about 2:00 a.m. when a Nissan Sentra collided with a dump truck. The collision on 680 Freeway near Treat Boulevard caused the Nissan to roll over, killing the driver.
 
The Sentra driver from Hayward reportedly didn’t wear a seatbelt during the incident.
 
Meanwhile, the dump truck driver didn’t suffer any injury.
 
Authorities found alcohol bottles in the Nissan. However, it’s still unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the car accident.
