SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 21, 2024) – Sunday morning, a man died in a brutal pedestrian crash on Rittiman Road.

The incident occurred at about 5:25 a.m. at the corner of Rittiman Road and the I-35 Northbound Access Road.

When the authorities arrived, they located a 69-year-old man unresponsive in the roadway.

Witnesses reported to police that the man had been lying on the road for an extended period, prompting vehicles to swerve to avoid him. The driver of a semi-truck, traveling on Rittiman Road near the intersection, was unable to avoid the man and struck him. The truck driver stayed at the scene following the incident. 

Furthermore, the victim has not yet been identified, and authorities are continuing to investigate the collision.

The circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear at this time. The public will be notified once additional details become available.
