Brian Bullough Injured in Fatal ATV Accident in Arroyo Grande
ARROYO GRANDE, CA (August 19, 2019) – An ATV Accident near Los Berros Road and Milton Street left one man dead and another one injured Friday night.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. A 36-year-old man from Santa Barbara died at the scene. 34-year-old Brian Bullough of Seal Beach suffered major injuries.
The officers said the Santa Barbara man was driving a 2014 Polaris ATV on private property when he lost control. The ATV then went off a driveway and hit a tree. It rotated and subsequently smashed into a second tree.
The driver was not wearing safety equipment and died at the scene as per the California Highway Patrol.
However, Bullough, who was a passenger, was strapped into the ATV. Paramedics took him to a hospital with major injuries.
The incident is under investigation. Whether speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash is being determined.
