Bicyclist Dies after Collision with Vehicle near Castlewood Drive
PITTSBURG, CA (October 26, 2018) – A man was killed late Friday evening following a bicycle crash on Kirker Pass Road. The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending family notification.
According to the Pittsburg Police Department, the incident took place at about 11:26 PM near Castlewood Drive. A northbound vehicle was approaching the intersection on a green light when it collided with a westbound bicycle.
The victim was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
