64-Year-Old Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Vehicle near North Airport Way
STOCKTON, CA (September 27, 2018) – A man was killed Thursday evening following a bicycle collision on East Harding Way. The identity of the 64-year-old victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the Stockton Police Department, the incident took place at about 8:11 PM near North Airport Way. The victim was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a Ford Mustang.
The bicyclist was severely injured and was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. Meanwhile, the 22-year-old Mustang driver remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. No other information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
