1 Dead in Chino Bicycle Accident on Philadelphia Street
CHINO, CA (February 4, 2020) – A 37-year-old Pomona man died in a bicycle accident on Philadelphia Street on February 1.
According to reports, the cyclist rode a bike along Philadelphia Street near Bridger Avenue when a vehicle hit him, Chino police Lt. Nick Marotta revealed. The incident occurred in the 5100 block of Philadelphia.
A witness reported about the collision around 7:24 p.m. When the officers arrived, they located the 37-year-old lying on the pavement, unresponsive.
Medical responders took the bicyclist to Chino Valley Medical Center, where he later died.
Meanwhile, the vehicle driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the police.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
