27-Year-Old Driver Dies in Early Morning Crash on Old Highway 395 in Fallbrook
FALLBROOK, CA (November 9, 2019) – A 27-year-old Fallbrook man died after crashing into a utility pole early Saturday morning, CHP officials said.
The crash happened around 12:06 a.m. on Old Highway 395 near Pala Pala Mesa Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a gray Toyota Yaris northbound. For unknown reasons, he swerved off the roadway and hit the utility pole.
As a result, the man suffered severe injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a trauma center, where he later died. His identity has not yet been released pending family notification.
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
