1 Dead in Pedestrian Accident on Atherton Street and Montair Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (December 29, 2021) – Monday, a man died following a hit-and-run accident on Atherton Street and Montair Avenue.
The incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred at about 10:15 p.m. on December 21. Moreover, it occurred on Atherton Street and Montair Avenue.
When the authorities arrived, they found the pedestrian on the road with critical injuries. According to reports, he crossed north on Atherton Street outside the crosswalk. Then, a westbound silver sedan hit him and escaped the crash scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the man to an area hospital in critical condition.
Last Monday, the man died from his injuries.
