Man Killed in Accident on 210 Freeway [Pasadena, CA]

Man Fatally Injured after Falling From Overpass onto Foothill Freeway at Lake Avenue

 
PASADENA, CA (June 10, 2018) – A man was fatally injured in an accident on 210 freeway, late Sunday night. His identity was not immediately disclosed.
 
According to reports, the incident took place at Lake Avenue, around 10:00 PM. The man was walking on the Lake Avenue overpass and climbed over the east side gate onto the highway sign above the 210 (Foothill Freeway).
 
For unknown reasons, he fell onto the No 2 lane of the westbound 210 freeway, where he was struck by an unknown number of vehicles. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead on site.
 
Westbound lanes were shut down and traffic was diverted to Lake, as officials investigated the scene. The HOV and fast lane reopened around 1:15 AM, and all other lanes were open around 4:00 AM. It is unclear whether or not drugs and alcohol were contributing factors in this fatal incident. No additional information has been released to the public at this time.
