1 Dead in San Diego Multi-Vehicle Accident on Harmony Grove Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 3, 2020) – A 28-year-old man died in a multi-vehicle accident on Harmony Grove Road on January 31.
The collision on Harmony Grove Road in Elfin Forest occurred around 7:40 a.m. when a westbound Subaru WRX steered into an eastbound lane near Wild Willow Hollow Road for unknown reasons. The sedan then sideswiped an oncoming Toyota Prius, before colliding head-on into a Toyota Highlander SUV. The vehicle then overturned, CHP public affairs Officer Mark Latulippe revealed.
The Subaru’s driver, a Chula Vista resident, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Highlanders’ 38-year-old Carlsbad male driver sustained minor injuries. His three passengers, a 26-year-old man and two women, ages 34 and 38, also sustained injuries. They all received treatment at the scene.
Moreover, the 49-year-old Prius driver didn’t suffer any injury.
Authorities shut down the two-lane road northwest of Lake Hodges during cleanup and investigation.
