Sedan Driver Dies in School Bus Crash on 19th Avenue and Peoria Avenue
Phoenix, AZ (May 5, 2021) – Wednesday morning, a driver died after his vehicle crashed into a tow truck and school bus on 19th Avenue and Peoria Avenue.
The fatal Phoenix crash happened at around 8:30 a.m. on May 3.
Phoenix police said a sedan headed north on 19th Avenue, north of Peoria Avenue.
At some point, it crossed over into oncoming traffic. The driver then struck a tow truck and a school bus. No passengers were on the bus at the time.
Emergency personnel transported the sedan driver to the hospital in extremely critical condition. However, he died while undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, the tow truck driver and the school bus driver were not seriously hurt. They were both evaluated, and investigators said they showed no signs of impairment.
Moreover, impairment on behalf of the driver of the sedan is not known at this time.
