OXNARD, CA (August 19, 2021) – Wednesday morning, a man sustained injuries after a pickup truck crash on Rice Avenue and Camino Del Sol.
 
According to Oxnard Police Department, the incident happened at around 9:45 a.m. Moreover, it happened on Rice Avenue and Camino Del Sol.
 
Reports revealed that a northbound pickup truck collided with the side of a southbound big rig. Apparently, the big rig tried to make a left turn onto Camino Del Sol when the crash occurred.
 
The force of the crash wedged the pickup truck under the trailer of the big rig, trapping the pickup driver.
 
Moreover, responders rushed to the scene and extricated the pickup drive from the vehicle. Then, paramedics transported the 68-year-old Oxnard man to Ventura County Medical Center with critical injuries.
 
Furthermore, the crash closed the Oxnard intersection but has long since reopened.
