Pedestrian Hospitalized after Eureka Accident on Highway 101 and S Street
EUREKA, CA (February 17, 2021) – On Tuesday, a man sustained injuries in a pedestrian crash on Highway 101 and S Street in Eureka.
According to Eureka Police Department, the incident happened at around 6:23 a.m. Moreover, it happened near the intersection of northbound Highway 101 and S Street.
Meanwhile, reports revealed that the 45-year-old male pedestrian suddenly stepped into the road with a stroller full of various possessions. Then, a 79-year-old driver of a vehicle hit him.
Afterward, responders transported the victim to a hospital with major injuries, EPD said.
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
EPD believes that drugs or alcohol played no role in the crash.
