Man Hurt after Pedestrian Accident on 45th Street

 
EMERYVILLE, CA (August 27, 2019) — A man suffered injuries after a pedestrian crash on 45th Street on Wednesday, August 21.
 
The accident began when a truck struck an unidentified pedestrian in an intersection crosswalk. Dispatchers arrived to the area on 45th and Hollis Street.
 
According to the police, they received the 911 call around 3:34 p.m., that afternoon.
 
Paramedics also responded to the crash site and rendered aid to the man who suffered a head injury. They later transported him to an area hospital and he is now in stable condition.
 
The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Neither drugs nor alcohol was considered as a factor in the crash, police stated.
