Pedestrian Hospitalized after Struck by Sedan near Topango Road
VICTORVILLE, CA (December 11, 2018) – A man was injured in a pedestrian accident on Mojave Drive, late Tuesday night. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
According to officials, the incident took place at around 11:08 PM near Topango Road. As per reports, the pedestrian was struck by a blue Chevy sedan, who remained at the scene.
First responders arrived at the crash site, and transported the victim to Victor Valley Global Medical Center. From there, he was airlifted to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center trauma center. Police stated the man sustained critical injuries, but his current medical condition is unclear at this time. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
Authorities stated that the sedan had major damage on the front windshield. Officials shut down the No. 2 lane of westbound Mojave Drive, while clearing operations and preliminary investigation took place in the area.
No further details have been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues.
