Serious Injuries Sustained in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Home Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 10, 2019) — A man suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on Home Avenue near Euclid Avenue Wednesday morning.
The San Diego police said a Toyota sedan struck the pedestrian at around 5:20 a.m. The 25-year-old driver of the car called the dispatchers to report the collision.
According to the driver, they were eastbound on Home Avenue when they hit the man who was crossing the street.
As a result, the pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries including a fractured right knee and a fractured pelvis. First responders transported him to a hospital for treatment.
On the other hand, the driver was cooperative in the investigation as per the officers.
Meantime, the police closed both directions of Home Avenue between Euclid Avenue and 47th Street as they investigated. All lanes reopened by 7:50 a.m.
