27-Year-Old Man Critically Injured after Hit-and-Run Car Accident in Stockton
STOCKTON, CA (February 8, 2019) – Friday morning, a 27-year-old man was struck and critically injured by a vehicle just before 7:30 AM. The accident to place at the intersection of West Alpine Avenue and Franklin Avenue.
Authorities stated that the victim was in the crosswalk of West Alpine Avenue when the car, which was traveling on Franklin Avenue, struck him.
First responders arrived shortly after and immediately transported the man to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. Status on his condition has not been disclosed.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. However, investigators believe the car in connection to the accident is an older model Toyota Tercel or Corolla with extensive damages to its windshield, hood, or front bumper. Officials released a surveillance photo of the suspect.
