Early Morning Crash with Semi-Truck on Highway 101 in Palo Alto
PALO ALTO, CA (June 30, 2019) – An unidentified male victim was injured following a semi-truck crash on Highway 101, near Oregon Expressway.
The crash happened around 4:13 a.m., on the southbound lanes of Highway 101. Dispatchers arrived just south of Oregon Expressway.
According to the CHP, a semi-truck and a white Volkswagen Jetta collided. Officers located both vehicles in the slow lane upon arrival. However, the events leading up are currently unclear.
A male occupant suffered neck and back injuries as a result of the impact. Paramedics took him to a nearby hospital for further treatment. However, the identity and condition of the man were not immediately available.
The Jetta was also found with major front-end damage. Towing services were eventually requested due to the extent of damage.
CHP officials are still investigating the cause of this crash and more information will be provided when accessible.
