Fontana Police Cruiser Hits Pedestrian on Valley Boulevard
FONTANA, CA (August 17, 2019) – A man suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident involving a police cruiser on Valley Boulevard, Saturday evening.
According to the Fontana Police Department, the incident happened at about 10:45 PM. The man attempted to cross the boulevard from south to north when a patrol car hit him near Citrus Avenue.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital with a broken leg. Meanwhile, the officer inside the patrol car remained at the scene and did not suffer injuries.
The Fontana Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the collision. Also, they noted that the accident happened about 150 yards east of the Citrus Avenue-Valley Boulevard crosswalk. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
