Police Investigate 2-Vehicle Crash on Deodar Street in Hesperia

Hesperia, CA (December 13, 2024) – A man sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center after a two-vehicle crash on Deodar Street Friday morning in Hesperia. 

The accident occurred on December 13, 2024, at approximately 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of Deodar Street and Jacaranda Avenue.

The crash involved a gray Nissan Altima and a white Chevy pickup truck. 

According to sheriff’s officials, the Nissan was heading north on Jacaranda Avenue toward Deodar Street, while the Chevy was traveling southbound on the same road. 

As the Nissan attempted to turn west, the Chevy broadsided it, causing the pickup truck to overturn and land on its roof. 

The Nissan suffered significant damage to its passenger side.

San Bernardino County Fire crews responded and requested a helicopter to transport the injured Nissan driver. 

He was initially taken by ambulance to a landing zone at Desert Valley Hospital before being flown to Antelope Valley Hospital.

The young woman driving the Chevy pickup was unharmed.

Deputies closed the roadway for about an hour to investigate the crash and clear the vehicles. 

The Hesperia Police Department is leading the ongoing investigation.
