Driver Arrested after a Hit-And-Run Crash on West Nordhoff Street in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA (August 26, 2021) – Thursday morning, a man sustained severe injuries after a hit-and-run crash in the 15500 block of West Nordhoff Street.
The crash in Los Angeles happened just after 1 a.m. on August 26 near Our Lady of Peace Church.
The Los Angeles police said several people rushed to help the victim. One of those happened to be an off-duty emergency medical technician.
EMS took the man to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center with severe injuries.
Meanwhile, sometime later, California Highway Patrol officers pulled over the suspect vehicle in the area of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Paxton Street.
Unknowingly, the CHP officers stopped the car because it raised their suspicions and they noticed the vehicle had significant collision damage.
After contacting the LAPD, police arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Further investigation is ongoing.
