1 Hurt in South Los Angeles Pedestrian Crash on 61st Street and Broadway

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (January 7, 2021) – Sunday night, a man suffered severe injuries in a hit-and-run accident on 61st Street and Broadway.
 
The crash occurred just before 10:00 p.m. on 61st Street and Broadway. According to authorities, a vehicle struck a pedestrian crossing the street. Furthermore, authorities said that the pedestrian failed to yield at the “Don’t Walk” signal.
 
Surveillance footage revealed how the suspect vehicle hit the man and threw him into the air. Then, the man landed on the street.
 
Afterward, the driver briefly stopped but then drove north on Broadway. Meanwhile, responders took the pedestrian to a local hospital with severe injuries. Also, the authorities confirmed that the man is now in stable condition.
 
On the other hand, the authorities described the vehicle as a 2000-2010 two-door beige coupe with a sunroof that may have damage to the hood and front end.
