Officers Search Suspect Driver in Bakersfield Traffic Accident
Bakersfield, CA (June 17, 2023) – At around 3:32 a.m. yesterday, a Hispanic man in his 30s was injured following an Edison Highway hit-and-run crash.
The officers immediately responded to the crash scene in the area of Webster Street and located the man lying in the number two lane of eastbound Edison Highway east of Webster Street.
CHP said a white Nissan Sentra was eastbound on Edison Highway at an unknown speed when it struck the pedestrian and drove off. The medical team transported the man to Kern Medical for his injuries.
Moreover, the authorities later located the Nissan abandoned on Kentucky Street and Center Street. Officers did not find the driver of the Nissan in the area.
The authorities are investigating if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the Bakersfield traffic accident.
