VICTORVILLE, CA (February 2, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, a 68-year-old man suffered injuries in a crash on D Street near Interstate 15.
 
The incident happened at around 12:45 p.m. in the 16300 block of D Street near Interstate 15. According to reports, the crash involved a classic pickup truck and a semi.
 
Victorville City Firefighters came to the scene and found the light blue Dodge with major front-end damage. Also, they found the driver still inside.
 
Then, they called for a helicopter to airlift the 68-year-old male to a trauma center.
 
Mercy Air 2 responded and airlifted the patient to Loma Linda University Medical Center with unknown injuries.
 
Also, the incident shut down the westbound lanes of D Street which caused traffic back up. By 1:45 p.m., the road reopened.
 
Furthermore, the Victorville Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
