Injuries Reported in Antelope Accident near Antelope Road and Monument Drive
ANTELOPE, CA (December 25, 2022) – Saturday night, a man suffered injuries in a stolen vehicle crash near Antelope Road and Monument Drive.
The incident happened at about 6:15 p.m. near Antelope Road and Monument Drive.
According to reports, a suspect struck a vehicle and then fled the scene. Responders took one person in the car to the hospital.
While on routine patrol for a stolen vehicle, they found a vehicle that matched the description.
Then, the vehicle fled before deputies could activate their lights and a pursuit began. Then, the suspects crashed into another vehicle with two people inside.
“The suspects, we believe there were three of them, all fled on foot,” said Sgt. Amar Gandhi, of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Then, deputies detained one person. Meanwhile, two people remained at large.
Meanwhile, Gandhi said that the civilian struck in the crash was a man, in his 70s. Also, he suffered serious injuries but remained alert and talking Saturday night.
“These folks have no regard for anyone else around them,” Gandhi added. “All they see is their personal gain in that vehicle.”
May this incident be a reminder for all motorists to drive responsibly. Drivers should also keep in mind that distracted driving, speeding, and failing to yield will lead to dangerous road accidents.
How To Proceed From a Crash
While driving is essential for many to move about in their lives, it is one of the most dangerous daily maneuvers. Thus, it is therefore important to know how to proceed in case you find yourself involved in a traffic collision.
On the AAA Foundation Website, chief executive officer Peter Kissinger repeatedly labeled the epidemic of motor vehicle-related accidents a “public health crisis.”
Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious auto accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of the injured party. A lawyer will make sure victims are not cheated of the proper compensation they are owed.
