Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in Fountain Valley on Harbor Boulevard near Lilac Avenue
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (August 4, 2019) – A pedestrian suffered critical injuries after a car accident on Harbor Boulevard on Tuesday, July 30.
Police rushed to two traffic car collisions involving a pedestrian at 11:45 p.m. on Harbor Boulevard south of Lilac Avenue.
According to the police, a two-door car struck an adult male in southbound lanes of traffic. After that, a pickup truck hit the pedestrian.
The victim, a Santa Ana resident, suffered serious injuries. As a result, first responders transported the man to the hospital. As of Wednesday, he is still in critical condition, Fountain Valley police Sgt. Mike Parson stated.
The driver and passenger of the car remained at the scene. In addition, they cooperated with the investigation. However, officials do not suspect drugs or alcohol as a factor in the first incident.
However, witnesses told police that the second car fled the scene. They described the vehicle as a white short-bed pickup truck with a dark-colored utility cabinet on the bed.
According to the police, witness accounts describe the driver as an adult male with a mustache.
