Spear Avenue Car/Bicycle Crash Injures Bicyclist
Arcata, CA (February 12, 2022) On Thursday, an Arcata man was injured in a bicycle/vehicle collision on the 1200 block of Spear Avenue.
The Arcata Police (APD) says the 64-year-old Arcata bicyclist was heading west on Spear Avenue about 3:30 p.m.
Then a woman in a vehicle is attempting to overtake the Arcata resident from behind his bicycle.
Realizing this, the man turned left, attempting to get to his destination, right in front of the car.
APD Officer Lt. Todd Dockweiler says that “The bicyclist is in critical conditions with major injuries.”
Additionally, he says that there is “no indication of intoxication in either party.”
