55-Year-Old Bicyclist Struck by Car on Harbor Drive in Barrio Logan
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 8, 2019) – A man sustained injuries in a bicycle crash in the 1600 block of Harbor Drive on Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the Barrio Logan area of San Diego at approximately 8:20 PM. Based on an initial report, the 55-year-old bicyclist rode westbound when he was struck by a white Nissan Sentra traveling southbound.
The paramedics sent the victim to the hospital for a serious leg injury. His condition was non-life threatening.
A clearing operation took place to clear the road. The 60-year-old man driving the Nissan was not cited. SDPD’s Traffic Division is still investigating the incident.
