30-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck by Car at North Park Way
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 27, 2018) – A 30-year-old man in sustained non-life threatening injuries in a hit-and-run accident on 30th Street, early Sunday morning.
According to police officials, the pedestrian was walking southbound at the 3800 block of 30th Street around 1:30 AM when he saw a motorist driving without headlights on. It was reported that the victim and suspect exchanged words and the victim continued walking southbound.
The motorist then allegedly drove toward the man and struck him as the pedestrian was crossing the street at the intersection of North Park Way and 30th Street. The vehicle continued driving down 30th. Authorities later found the vehicle abandoned at the 4000 block of Meade Avenue.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by paramedics to an area hospital. No further details have been released about the incident at this time.
