1 Dead in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Lotus Lane
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 18, 2022) – Sunday night, a man in a wheelchair died in a pedestrian crash on Lotus Lane.
The incident occurred at around 9:10 p.m. in the 2000 block of Lotus Lane. According to reports, as a man in a wheelchair crossed the road outside a crosswalk, a northbound vehicle struck him.
When the officers arrived, they found a man on the road and transported him to a local hospital. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation. Moreover, the authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
