52-Year-Old Tacoma Man Hurt in Suspected DUI Crash on Interstate 5 [Tumwater, WA]

Tumwater, WA (June 10, 2024) On Saturday evening, a 52-year-old Tacoma man was hurt and hospitalized after a suspected DUI crash on Interstate 5.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the 2-vehicle collision happened around 7:30 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5.

Reports say that a 21-year-old Chehalis man crashed into a Tacoma man riding a motorcycle, both motorists were headed north on I-5.

Officials say that the Chehalis man changed lanes and struck the motorcyclist, and both vehicles ended up blocking the ramp to U.S. Highway 101.

Medics say that the motorcyclist sustained a broken leg and was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
