Man Injured in Torrance Car Accident
TORRANCE, CA (March 8, 2019) – A man suffered chest pains after a fiery car crash on the northbound 405 Freeway near Artesia Boulevard on March 4.
According to reports, one man got stuck inside the car engulfed by fire. Fortunately, he was able to get off the vehicle on his own.
The CHP responded to a call at 10:37 p.m. of a crash between a black Nissan and a big rig. Reports also revealed that the Nissan caught fire.
CHP added that at 10:40 p.m., a man exited the burning Nissan. He complained of chest pains but told the officers that he was the sole occupant in the vehicle. As of this time, it’s unknown whether the man was transported to a hospital.
Following the collision, officers issued a SigAlert until midnight for all. However, the carpool lane of the northbound San Diego Freeway between Crenshaw and Artesia boulevards was extended to 12:30 a.m. Also, they shut down all the lanes. Traffic was rerouted to Crenshaw Boulevard.
