Pedestrian Critically Injured in Pomona Hit-and-Run Crash
POMONA, CA (March 27, 2019) – A man sustained critical injuries after he was struck in a hit-and-run crash on Pomona Avenue Sunday night.
The collision happened on East Holt Avenue and North Reservoir Street around 10:30 p.m. First responders arrived to the area shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls about a hit-and-run crash.
By the time authorities arrived, the driver had fled the scene. The male pedestrian was found in critical condition and rushed to a nearby hospital. The police also said that a description of the involved vehicle was unavailable.
There has been no update on the current status of the injured pedestrian. The surrounding area was shut down as crews worked to clean and finalize preliminary duties. Reports indicate that the investigation is currently ongoing. More information will eventually be released once available.
