Officers Search for Driver in Traffic Collision Near East Sixth Avenue
Spokane Valley, WA (July 26, 2022) – On Monday, a Black man in his 20s or 30s, weighing about 180 pounds, sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on South University Road.
According to the authorities, a caller said he found a man with life-threatening injuries near East Sixth Avenue.
Apparently, the person who found the victim heard loud voices, potentially between a man and woman, at the location where he found the victim.
The paramedics responded and located the victim unresponsive but breathing. Immediately, the rescuers rushed the victim to the hospital.
Officers say the man appeared to have been struck by a vehicle.
According to the officers, a full-sized dark SUV may have been involved in the incident. It was potentially seen driving eastbound on Seventh Avenue or Eighth Avenue. Officers added that the suspected collision took place between 3 and 3:30 a.m.
