Man Dies after Jumping from Mulholland Drive Overpass
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 19, 2019) – Authorities temporarily shut down all northbound lanes in Cahuenga Pass after a man was found dead on 101 Freeway, early Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Barham Boulevard, at about 5:30 AM. A man apparently jumped from the Mulholland Drive overpass and onto the freeway.
Emergency responders pronounced the victim, a man in his 40s, dead at the scene. Authorities withheld his identity, pending notification of next of kin.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the fatal incident. Additional information will be released to the public once it becomes available.
