Man Hurt after San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Texas Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 22, 2019) — A man pushing a walker died after a pedestrian accident on Texas Street on Sunday, August 18.
According to San Diego police Officer John Buttle, the collision occurred at about 11:35 p.m. on Texas Street near El Cajon Boulevard.
The man tried to cross Texas Street outside a crosswalk. Then a 45-year-old man driving a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze sedan southbound on the road struck him, Buttle stated.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately available, was rushed to a hospital where later died.
The sedan driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers, Buttle said. He added that intoxication did not play a role in the crash.
