42-Year-Old Man Struck and Killed by Metrolink Train in Pomona

 
POMONA, CA (September 5, 2019) – A 42-year-old man was fatally struck by a Metrolink train in Pomona, Thursday morning.
 
According to the Pomona Police Department, the incident happened near Hamilton Boulevard grade crossing, at about 9:21 AM. Witnesses claim that the victim walked around the railroad crossing arm despite flashing lights and other warning devices.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Pomona police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
