UPLAND, CA (January 9, 2020) – An unidentified man was fatally struck by a big rig Thursday evening on 210 Freeway in Upland, CHP officials said.
 
The deadly incident happened just after 8:00 p.m., on eastbound 210 Freeway near the Mountain Avenue exit.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, an unidentified male pedestrian was walking across the freeway lanes when a big rig struck him.
 
Paramedics later pronounced the male victim dead on scene due to the impact of the collision.
 
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked on preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.
