BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 13, 2020) – Last Tuesday, a man suffered fatal injuries in a car crash on Highway 178.
 
The authorities received a report of a vehicle involved in a crash at about 8:22 a.m. According to reports, the incident happened on eastbound Highway 178 and Niles Street overcrossing. Initial reports stated that the incident took place on Beale Avenue. However, it was later clarified that it occurred on Niles Street.
 
Meanwhile, the department revealed that the driver went off the road, drove onto the right shoulder. Then, he fell onto the dirt embankment and crashed into the Niles Street overcrossing wall. As a result, the driver succumbed to his injuries.
 
Due to the incident, the traffic on eastbound Highway 178 is stalled. Moreover, the cause of the crash remains under active investigation.
