Man Dies in Topanga Canyon Boulevard Collision [Los Angeles, CA]

Canoga Park Hit-and-Run Collision Kills Driver

Los Angeles, CA (February 1, 2024) – A male driver was killed following a Topanga Canyon Boulevard collision Wednesday morning.

LAPD officers responded at 1:13 a.m. to a two-vehicle collision on Vanowen Street and located the victim.

Investigators said two drivers were traveling at a high rate of speed and were possibly racing each other south on Topanga Canyon Boulevard.

One of the vehicles crashed into the second vehicle and the victim’s vehicle crashed with an electricity pole.

The other vehicle sped away from the scene traveling south on Topanga Canyon Boulevard.

Moreover, witnesses at the scene said a Toyota Camry and a dark-colored Mercedes Benz were possibly street racing when the Mercedes collided with the Toyota.

The responding emergency team was unsuccessful in freeing the victim who died at the accident scene.

The LAPD Valley Traffic Division is investigating this fatal accident.
