Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Dayton Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Person Struck and Killed on Fruit and Dayton Avenues in Fresno

 
Fresno, CA (May 16, 2021) – On Saturday, a man died in a pedestrian accident on Dayton Avenue.
 
The accident took place just after 11:30 near the intersection of Fruit Avenue.
 
Apparently, a northbound driver headed on Fruit Avenue saw the pedestrian jump out into lanes of traffic.
The driver tried to swerve around the victim, but still fatally struck him.
 
Unfortunately, the pedestrian died at the scene.
 
The involved driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
 
Officers are looking into whether drugs, alcohol, or speed may have been a factor in the fatal accident.
